With businesses in the energy, telecommunications and construction industries, the
Visabeira Group (Portugal), main shareholder in the Vista Alegre Group, continues to make investments giving added value to its brands linked to the production of glassware, crystal glassware and
ceramic tableware. Among these is
Cerexport, leading manufacturer of items in stoneware (ovenware and tableware) which has chosen
SACMI-SAMA for the supply of a new
PHO 451 Green isostatic pressing solution.
Installed and started up in record time, thanks to the highly efficient cooperation between the technical teams of Sacmi and the customer, the new solution works alongside the
PHO 650 already in operation at the Aveiro plant since 2017, when it was one of the first presses on the market from SAMA’s new
Green Series that offers
lower energy consumption by as much as
30% compared to a traditional press.
The new PHO 451 supplied is equipped with an
OFM 8-38 universal finishing machine for fettling round and non-round items with max. diameter
up to 38 cm unfired. The new solution stands out for minimum energy consumption and very high output - already more than
500 pieces/hr in production after the first trial runs - and is the latest addition to the other SAMA isostatic presses already running at Aveiro and at the factories of the other brands in the Group.
The combined use of the two presses will enable Cerexport to expand its
production versatility and capacity, thanks also to the state-of-the-art portfolio of technical solutions that, with this type of press, ranges from the high-performance
die coatings to the interchangeable tools, up to the
integration with finishing for automated control of all operations.
With the solution supplied to Cerexport, the unloading system is also particularly innovative: the articles are not deposited on static trays but are directly stacked onto the
conveyor belt to be transferred automatically to the subsequent work processes.
