At SACMI's stand at the Centro Expo Santa Fe, for what confirms itself as one of Latin America's reference events for packaging and processing, SACMI will be showcasing its rigid packaging technologies, backed by a comprehensive range of technical support services, managed locally by SACMI de Mexico.
From product to process control
The starting point is product development. SACMI accompanies customers every step of the way: from the design of caps and preforms, to the technologies used to manufacture them, right through to the most advanced solutions for quality control.
From this perspective, SACMI presents PVS ROBOT, a solution designed to take offline quality control to a new level of automation. The system eliminates the need for any manual intervention: from product handling to format changeover, everything is done automatically, reducing the risk of errors and making the process more stable and repeatable.
Thanks to the combination of SCARA handling robots, an automatic format magazine and a modular design, PVS ROBOT delivers high output rates — up to 1,200 preforms per hour (800 with weighing) — with precision comparable to that of a laboratory. The inspection covers preforms from different presses, without stopping the line, thanks to the automatic format changeover.
The principle is simple: robot in, error out. The product is handled entirely by the system, which uses roller positioners, bin picking with anthropomorphic robots and 3D sensors. Adding value to the system are advanced features such as smart reject (automatic 'intelligent' rejection) and the opportunity of Classy AI, for automatic defect classification, simplifying the operator's work and facilitating the reading of process data.

The latest developments in CCM (Continuous Compression Moulding) compression technology incorporate advanced process controls and the CM Flow extruder, designed to reduce footprint and energy consumption while maintaining high quality standards.
The growing penetration of the technology in Mexico and Latin America confirms its superior performance and reliability. The new generation CCMs also feature Smart Pack and Smart Care digital systems that integrate advanced machine sensor technology and in-Cloud analysis of production data for proactive maintenance management.
IPS: precision, continuity, control
Alongside the CCM, SACMI's offerings include the IPS (Injection Preform System) preform press, which is already chosen by numerous manufacturers in the area and is at the top end of the market in terms of quality and performance.
