Total quality and hyper-productivity: SACMI @ Indian Ceramics 2026

SACMI builds the ceramic plants of the future. At their heart lie ever-more powerful, higher-performance technology and innovative digital quality control. The result? Less waste, lower consumption and products of outstanding technical and aesthetic quality

The ceramic plant of the future? SACMI already has it. And visitors to Indian Ceramics 2026 (January 28-30, Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat) will have an opportunity to see the hyper-productivity, unmatched flexibility and advanced digital quality controls that are delivering ceramics of the highest technical and aesthetic quality.

Continua+ ‘hyper-speed’

The world’s leading slab and tile forming technology, Continua+ has received a major upgrade, allowing all new lines to achieve speeds of 14 linear meters per minute, raising output to more than 35,000 square meters per day.
Continua+ lets manufacturers produce a vast range of sizes and thicknesses (from 3 to 30 mm) with the utmost flexibility and efficiency.
Superb compaction process quality and extremely low specific consumption (<0.04 kWh/m²) make this exclusive patented SACMI technology the market benchmark. Now, in addition to the hyper-fast configuration, it’s also possible to select a broader compaction front (up to 200 mm) to ensure more versatile handling of the market’s most popular sizes.

Vision systems and digital quality control

SACMI’s latest range of vision systems covers every single stage of the process and enables higher product quality and plant efficiency.
For example, the OPTIMA+ unfired slab inspection system is fully automatic. Installable downstream from Continua+ or the dryer, it immediately identifies non-compliant slabs before they are sent on for further processing. And that’s not all. Thanks to real-time monitoring and data logs, the system doesn’t just monitor quality: it also performs real-time identification of even the slightest process drifts.
The outcome? OPTIMA+ delivers tangible benefits in the form of zero waste, no unnecessary reworks and consistently high quality. Together with other SACMI-Italvision inspection systems, OPTIMA+ constitutes the heart and brain of the SACMI Easy Factory, a new-concept, fully digital ceramic plant, where process, quality and efficiency controls converge to form a single integrated ecosystem.

‘Fully digital’ control

With SACMI, outstanding product aesthetics and technical performance begin with forming. New colored powder feeders on Continua+ work in concert with digital printers (DHD and DDG), allowing for the creation of perfectly coordinated surface and in-body decorations.
These technologies - full-body forming, digital decoration, BMR finishing solutions - focus on adding value to the product and unlocking new potential uses for ceramic (e.g. kitchen countertops, furniture, coordinated furnishings).

SACMI: a plant engineer that prioritizes service

Far-reaching, close customer service is a SACMI hallmark - worldwide. For example, SACMI Engineering continues to be a crucial assistance hub on the Indian market, both in terms of service – now boosted by the new headquarters in Morbi – and the direct production of dryers, kiln parts and ATI spray dryers, all made at the Sanand and Ahmedabad plants.
By combining a strong local presence with an extensive technological offering - with a full range of machines specifically configured for the Indian market - SACMI ensures close customer support at every stage of the project. From PHC ‘Red Edition’ presses to the latest Maestro (FMN) single-layer roller kiln (FMN), from body preparation (ATI, MMN modular mills) to the new range of RDN multi-channel dryers, these systems deliver total quality, reduce consumption compared to conventional solutions and feature high-quality components that provide greater long-term reliability.

Sanitaryware and Tableware

Quality, outstanding process consistency and optimization of resources are the hallmarks of SACMI's sanitaryware and tableware technology which, in India and Asian countries, continues to play a crucial role in key projects with the industry’s leading players.
With SACMI systems, reliability and performance go hand in hand with outstanding configurability to match specific production requirements. Extensive customization across the entire range of sanitaryware casting, glazing and firing technologies ensures unrivalled product quality and better working conditions for personnel.
At the same time, the pressing, jiggering, glazing and firing solutions supplied by the SACMI network of Tableware companies went from strength to strength in 2025 when Lippert - a historic German brand that provides automation and technology - joined the SACMI family.
