CEFLA and SACMI's personnel vaccination program gets under way

Employees can book their shots on a specially prepared platform until 28 May. The vaccination campaign itself begins on 8 June at Imola’s Autodromo Medical Center. The plan, run on a voluntary basis, has a simple goal: to get personnel vaccinated as soon as possible and contribute to the wider regional and national vaccination effort.

CEFLA and SACMI are making their own contribution to the national vaccination campaign. In accordance with national protocols and in collaboration with Imola’s Local Health Authority, the two companies are implementing a joint plan to vaccinate their employees. The latter have until 28 May to book their jabs on the specially prepared online platform.
By early March 2021 the two companies had already responded to an appeal by trade associations (including Confindustria) to get companies involved in the national vaccination effort. The appeal underlined the need to contribute “to a collective national effort that is essential to people’s health and the resumption of normal social and economic life”.
Following Italian Government protocols, issued on 6 April, and the most recent regional guidelines, SACMI and CEFLA drew up a plan with the support of professional medical guidance. This plan focuses on organizing a specific vaccination hub that will let staff receive, on a voluntary basis, their shots quickly.
After booking on the platform, employees will then wait for the start of the actual injection program, set to begin on 8 June. The goal, explain the organizers, is to complete the campaign within a narrow time frame and get all staff vaccinated.
The actual handling of the vaccines will be done by the Medical Center at Imola’s Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari racetrack. Vaccination procedures will be identical to those used in the national plan. It is, then, a service provided in addition to that already foreseen by the wider national campaign, coordinated by Local health Authorities.
CEFLA and SACMI’s contribution to the national vaccination effort follows a period of intense work aimed at ensuring continuity of production in complete safety for all personnel. This involved several stages, from the promotion of more flexible, ‘smart’ working practices to the reorganization of protocols and company workspaces to ensure a safe return.
Like previous initiatives, this one was accompanied by an information campaign aimed at all employees, who can find everything they need to know about the COVID emergency and the in-company vaccination campaigns on their respective corporate websites.
